Make/Model: Ford Fordor Sedan

Year: 1932

Brand of Paint: Automotive Art

Special Modifications: All steel 1932 Ford with Chopped top, 383 Chevy, 9″ Ford rear
Headlights lowered, Extensive work to rear inner/ outer fenders to except 10″ rear
wheels and 31″ tire. Completely built by me from chassis to bodywork to paint to wiring to 90% of upholstery.

I grew up in a hotrod family and my dad was a bodyman at a local Pontiac dealership. His hobby was building 32 Fords and we would travel across the country to many events  including NSRA and then Goodguys. Once I graduated from High school I started working with my father and opened Roberts Auto Restoration and honed my skills over the years and built and sold many of my own. This 32 is my latest build. I started with just a shell of a body and a pair of reproduction frame rails. In the end I’ve done 99% of everything start to finish. Building the frame, bodywork and fabrication, paint, drivetrain assembly, wiring, glass, and most of the interior. Alot of hard work but very happy with the results.

My love affair with Mercurys began riding in my grandmother’s 1949 way back in the 60s. I have build & owned lots of cars over the years but dreamed of having a true “Lead Sled”. I am living that dream as this is an amazing car and only missing is not having my grandmother alive so we could “roll low and slow” and get an ice cream !
