PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (May 8, 2025) – On Thursday, May 7, six deserving Bay Area residents in need received a helping hand – the presentation of a vehicle to provide them independence and the ability to work and take care of their families – thanks to Allstate for the generous donation of these vehicles, G&C Auto Body for the amazing refurbishment, the Crozat Family Foundation for selecting and vetting the recipients and the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with its generous members.

The presentation took place at the Sonoma County Event Center at the Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, CA. The Crozat family, owners of G&C Auto Body, are well respected for their philanthropy and commitment to their community. Shawn Crozat, CEO of G&C Auto Body, won the NABC Changing and Saving Lives Award in 2023. The Crozat family has gifted more than 300 cars over the years, many with the NABC Recycled Rides® program.

The recipients were nominated and vetted by the Crozat Family Foundation. Established by G&C Auto Body founder Gene Crozat, the Crozat Family Foundation has given back extensively to those in need. What started as a “Car-a-Month” Giveaway” with local radio stations has grown into a foundation that provides support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
The Crozat family hopes to help this year’s recipients get back on the road of life by giving a reliable ride and additional support to those who have fallen on misfortune or endured catastrophic and unforeseen events. The Crozat family strives to help create success where failure often seemed inevitable.

“My dad started going to the local car mart right across the street, buying cars on Saturdays,” said his son, Patrick Crozat. “He worked with local radio stations and insurance agents to find people in need, and it just grew from there. My dad would always say this world is a ‘you and me’ world.”

The collaborative membership of the National Auto Body Council® has gifted more than 3,750 vehicles valued at more than $67 million and provided extrication opportunities for some 7,000 First Responders in communities around the country through NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.™).
The NABC Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, a 501c3 organization, is committed to the goal of driving change for veterans, military members, first responders and families in need, while harnessing the power of the collective membership of the collision repair industry to positively impact communities where we live and work. As demand for NABC® programs like NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC F.R.E.E.™ grows, so do the needs for resources to manage these important programs. Being able to pursue grants, gifts and donations allows NABC to expand these programs to serve those in need and help communities where we live and work. The Changing and Saving Lives Foundation Keys for Change program also helps drive funding for key programs. The easy, efficient donation process allows vehicle owners to turn their unwanted vehicles into life-changing support. All vehicle donations fund critical programs that provide support and assistance for families in need, military members, veterans and first responders.
