Special Modifications: I purchased this truck with close to a 20-year old build on it and spent the last year during the pandemic taking everything apart and upgrading areas that I thought should be. The paint, interior and body were done in the early 2000’s and after some color sanding and hand rubbing, it looks as perfect as the day it was first completed.
Being an engine builder and machinist in my early ages I couldn’t resist taking the 460 apart and stepping it up quite a bit. The original build was done with 15" steelies and the under hood was finished with a mild factory / custom appearance. The whine of the straight cut geared Winters Quick-Change rearend was more than I wanted to listen to daily so I reset the axle with helical cut gears.
My vision was to transform this truck to a simple classic hot rod look with a bunch of chrome work and polished aluminum and plenty of horsepower to back it up along with the ability to be a rock solid reliable machine. Items I had added like the big Griffin radiator, the March Serpentine system, TCI transmission, and aluminum driveline all helped step up the reliability. There isn’t one wire, nut, bolt, or bracket that I haven’t had my hands on during my upgrading, spending countless hours underneath this beauty.
