The story behind this car is one of which I am extremely proud of and only what is above has the answer.

Three years ago I was hit in the head with a hot tub cover on Christmas Day. After being taken to the doctor and extensive tests being done I was diagnosed with two brain tumors. I ended up at Madison University and had brain surgery for the removal of one of the tumors which was cancer. During my extensive recovery, brain radiation and chemo, my cancer counselor says, “Dave you are very special. There is something very different with you that the medical people cannot figure out. You shouldn’t be doing the things your doing and you keep on moving forward.”

She started to push the idea of me building and painting a car as it is what I did most of my life. I thought she was crazy!! Well, she has become the sole reason for me taking the chance on it. She was right and I ended up building this White Camaro in six months while on chemo. I do not know how or why but it happened. I was able to take the White car and my Black Camaro to the World of Wheels in Milwaukee in February of 2020 and I received the Steele Master Builder of the Year award for what I have accomplished.

Now please know, I do not have a shop, lift, special tools or any help, just me in my garage. If I had answers for all the questions that people ask I would be very smart. Well, I tell them, “I’m OK”
I am very fortunate making it through to this point. I enjoy going to car shows and having people see what I have accomplished.

I am a Very Proud Cancer Survivor!!! To all the Cancer patients out there, “Never Give Up”

VINTAGE TRUCKS

Owner:
Daryl Dudas

Make/Model: Ford / F-100

Year: 1956

Brand of Paint Used: PPG

Special Modifications: I purchased this truck with close to a 20-year old build on it and spent the last year during the pandemic taking everything apart and upgrading areas that I thought should be. The paint, interior and body were done in the early 2000’s and after some color sanding and hand rubbing, it looks as perfect as the day it was first completed.

Being an engine builder and machinist in my early ages I couldn’t resist taking the 460 apart and stepping it up quite a bit. The original build was done with 15" steelies and the under hood was finished with a mild factory / custom appearance. The whine of the straight cut geared Winters Quick-Change rearend was more than I wanted to listen to daily so I reset the axle with helical cut gears.

My vision was to transform this truck to a simple classic hot rod look with a bunch of chrome work and polished aluminum and plenty of horsepower to back it up along with the ability to be a rock solid reliable machine. Items I had added like the big Griffin radiator, the March Serpentine system, TCI transmission, and aluminum driveline all helped step up the reliability. There isn’t one wire, nut, bolt, or bracket that I haven’t had my hands on during my upgrading, spending countless hours underneath this beauty.

It features

  • Ford 514 stroker motor
  • H-beam rods and forged steel crankshaft

Bruce Gracie

The money I made from working went right into the truck. He told me to go in the mixing room and find a color so I came out with this.

Three stage paint, Btr stage 3 cam, long tube headers, complete stainless 3 inch exhaust, 8 inches of lift. 35 inch tires on 22×12 wheels. 2006 front end and 3 inch cowl hood.

MOTORCYCLE

Owner:
Shane Durkopp

Make/Model:Honda CB750

Year: 1974

Special Modifications: Full custom 2002 Suzuki GSXR-600 engine. Bought a 2002  Suzuki GSXR-600 engine in high school (2004) for a project that I didn’t complete. The engine sat in a garbage bag in the back yard until 2014 when I decided to build a bike.  Pieced it together over the coarse of 1.5 years and it turned out to be a pretty cool rat bike.
