Please make sure the candidate meets the following requirements before submitting the form for consideration.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a safe driving record (no moving violations in past three years)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain vehicle insurance
  • Must have means to cover any upfront expenses- titling, registration, sales tax, etc.
  • Must agree to and pass a background check
  • Be financially challenged – there is an income target of 2X the national poverty level. To be eligible:
    • A 1-person household’s total monthly household income has to be between $2,510 and $3,138
    • A 2-person household’s total monthly household income has to be between $3,407 and $4,258
    • A 3-person household’s total monthly household income has to be between $4,303 and $5,379
    • A 4-person household’s total monthly household income has to be between $5,200 and $6,500
    • A 5-person household’s total monthly household income has to be between $6,097 and $7,621
    • A 6-person household’s total monthly household income has to be between $6,993 and $8,742
    • A 7-person household’s total monthly household income has to be between $7,890 and $9,863
  • Does not currently own a reliable, working vehicle
  • If a veteran, must have an honorable discharge
