Auto extrication presents increasingly complex rescue challenges to first responders. These new challenges include stronger and stronger ultra high-strength steels, more pressurized airbag cylinders, and more hybrid and electric vehicles on the road. It’s critical that first responders train on new model vehicles that are not always easy to acquire. the NABC® F.R.E.E.™ Program presents an excellent opportunity to do just that.

We typically conduct training out in the field at junk yards on older model vehicles. With the NABC® F.R.E.E.™ program we were able to practice on later model cars. Newer model vehicles are what we see on the street so having late model cars is a huge asset because we typically don’t get that opportunity.

First responders such as firemen require the most current vehicle information to be effective and save lives at the scene of an accident. The course we delivered with the NABC® F.R.E.E.™ helps keep these individuals up to date, which is more important than ever given the rapid onslaught of advancements in vehicle design.
