Join Deery Collision Center to Help Save Lives with the NABC®
Drive Out Distraction Challenge

Cell phone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year.

One in four car accidents in the United States is caused by texting and driving.

An estimated 400,000 people were injured in crashes involving a distracted driver.

Don’t become a statistic!

Deery Collision Center has joined forces with the NABC® to put the brakes on distracted driving. From GPS to cell phones, entertainment screens, rowdy passengers and more, just one quick glance from the road can result in a dented fender, damaged bumper or worse.

The new NABC® Drive Out Distraction program is helping educate drivers and their passengers about reducing the dangers of distracted driving with a national campaign that focuses on:

  • Preparing for the road trip by downloading directions, checking weather and traffic conditions, setting the radio station and familiarizing yourself with the vehicle controls
  • Reducing cell phone distractions by setting devices to “do not disturb”
  • Eliminating in-car interruptions by securing pets, buckling in children and reminding passengers not to distract the driver with inappropriate behavior

You can do your part by taking the

NABC® Drive Out Distraction Challenge here.

My involvement with the NABC distracted driving program has helped create a positive, lasting effect within the local schools, their teachers, students, as well as shop recognition within the community. The people I talk with are able to remember the shop and myself, from their experience. By showing young students, and even adults, in this distracting, digitally filled life, all it takes is one second to ruin theirs, is very life changing. Using the power of the videos and testimonials to show someone how checking a text is just not worth it. I love being a part of it!
