Visits to Our Website
Google Analytics
This website is like millions of other websites using Google Analytics to gather information about site visitors and their behavior. We use Google Analytics to get an idea for:
- how many visits our website gets
- how visitors found our website
- in which content they are interested
- how long they stay on our website and on each individual page
- what region they are from
- what type of computer hardware and internet software they are using
- and similar details
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers or other directly identifying form information to Google Analytics. Google Analytics may collect information such as cookie identifiers, device and browser information, approximate geographic location, referring pages and interactions with our website. The collected information is used only for statistics, which help us evaluate our website’s performance. User-level and event-level data stored by Google Analytics is set to be automatically deleted from Google’s servers after 2 months.
To opt-out of Google Analytics completely, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cloudways (Hosting)
Our website is hosted through Cloudways. Cloudways holds a server log of all website visits to help with security and diagnostics. The server log contains the visitor’s IP address along with the date and time of the loaded content but no information like name, phone number or email address.
Form Submissions
The information we collect consists of all the information you enter and your IP address. We use the submitted information to process your submission and to respond to it (if applicable). Except for the NABC Recycled Rides® Application Forms, submissions are stored in the website’s database (e.g. for accounting, administrative and technical purposes). If you want your records to be removed, please contact us.
To protect our website from spam submissions, we are using Cloudflare Turnstile on some forms. Visit Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for more information.
We use Stripe to process payments (e.g. membership signups) on our website. Your personal and transactional data will be shared with Stripe. This is done so the payment processor can charge your credit/debit card on our behalf and to prevent fraud. The payment processor does not give us access to your full credit card number. Visit Stripe’s Privacy Policy for more information.
NABC Recycled Rides® Application Forms
These forms are hosted by Zoho Forms. Visit Zoho’s Privacy Policy for more information.
Background checks, if applicant consent is given, may be performed by Advanced Remarketing Services, Inc (ARS). To perform the background check, ARS is provided with access to the applicant’s name, address, email, phone, date of birth, driver’s license and employment information. Background checks are performed to make sure vehicles are gifted to worthy recipients.
How We Share Information
We may disclose personal information to service providers that support our website, hosting, forms, payments, email, administration, security and program operations. We may also disclose information to participating charities, vehicle donors, repair partners, selection committees and other program partners when reasonably necessary to evaluate an application or administer an NABC® program. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our legal rights or with your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information.

- Google Analytics’ (see description above) core functionalities store 1st party cookies on each visitor’s device.
- Stripe uses 1st and 3rd party cookies. Visit Stripe’s Privacy Policy for more information.
Content Hosted by Third Parties
We may embed content on our website from third parties such as Google Maps, Vimeo and YouTube. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
However, since this embedded content is not hosted by our web host, we do not have control of the cookies they use or what personal information they collect. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to them. Please see the third parties’ privacy policies for more information.
Facebook Feed on Homepage
The homepage loads images and content from Meta/Facebook servers. Loading the feed may disclose technical information such as the visitor’s IP address and browser information.

The security of your personal information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
