PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (May 13, 2026) – On Monday, May 11, a Nashville area father received a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle as he works to care for his young child, which was born prematurely.  The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor GEICO and repair partners Victory INEOS Grenadier and Victory Nissan of Nashville.

The presentation took place at the Governor’s Club in Brentwood, TN as part of the 15th Annual Youth Villages Golf Classic.  This event is the largest fundraiser for the LifeSet program, a bridge from foster care to adulthood, with the goal of raising more than $120,000 to provide critical services to some of Middle Tennessee’s most vulnerable youth.  LifeSet helps youth achieve their independent living goals through education, housing and employment.

“The why behind our team here at Victory doing something is, ‘Why Not help another in need,’” said Joshua Smith, Collision Center Director for Victory Auto Group.  “We here at Victory Automotive can afford kindness and we refuse to be useless by lightening the burden of another.”

A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, donated by GEICO and refurbished by the technicians at Victory INEOS Grenadier and Victory Nissan of Nashville, was presented to Cody Marshall.  He is a 20-year-old father to a young child that was born prematurely.  Marshall has maintained employment for several years, working full-time as a third-shift security supervisor.  Currently, he and his partner are living in an overcrowded residence with a very small bedroom and no adequate living space, which is not conducive to stability for a newborn.  Ongoing expenses have made it extremely difficult for Marshall to save toward purchasing a reliable vehicle.  This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will ensure that Marshall can continue to meet the expectations of his job, transport his partner and their child to and from their medical appointments and be a critical step towards self-sufficiency.

GEICO, a Level One partner of the National Auto Body Council®, has donated more than 1,000 vehicles to people and organizations through NABC Recycled Rides®, making it the largest car donor partner of NABC Recycled Rides®.

Victory INEOS Grenadier opened in 2023 with a clear goal to bring a fresh and customer focused automotive experience to Nashville while serving drivers from Brentwood and Franklin.  As part of the Victory Automotive family, they are built on a tradition of straightforward service, long term customer relationships, and enthusiasm for performance driven vehicles like the INEOS Grenadier.

Victory Nissan of Nashville opened in 2023 with a clear goal of creating a customer focused dealership experience for drivers in Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Smyrna.  As a family-owned business, they emphasize transparency, long term relationships, and a welcoming environment for every guest who visits.  And continue building their community presence through customer appreciation events, owner gatherings, and environmentally conscious practices at their eco-friendly certified facility.

About the National Auto Body Council®:

The National Auto Body Council® is the premier organization of collision industry partners dedicated to strategic networking opportunities that positively change lives in the communities we serve. The collaborative membership of the National Auto Body Council® has gifted more than 3,750 vehicles valued at more than $67 million and provided extrication opportunities for some 7,000 First Responders in communities around the country through NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.™).

The NABC Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, a 501c3 organization, is committed to the goal of driving change for veterans, military members, first responders and families in need, while harnessing the power of the collective membership of the collision repair industry to positively impact communities where we live and work. As demand for NABC® programs like NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC F.R.E.E.™ grows, so do the needs for resources to manage these important programs. Being able to pursue grants, gifts and donations allows NABC to expand these programs to serve those in need and help communities where we live and work.

The Changing and Saving Lives Foundation Keys for Change program also helps drive funding for key programs. The easy, efficient donation process allows vehicle owners to turn their unwanted vehicles into life-changing support. All vehicle donations fund critical programs that provide support and assistance for families in need, military members, veterans and first responders.
