PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (March 26, 2026) – On Thursday, March 26, Driven Brands joined the National Auto Body Council to honor Women’s History Month by gifting two NABC Recycled Rides® vehicles to two deserving Charlotte women. The donations were made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Allstate and CARSTAR franchise owner, Jason Zander, and repair partners CARSTAR Auto Body of Cary and Maaco of Charlotte, both part of the Driven Brands family of automotive brands.

The presentation took place at the Driven Brands North Carolina headquarters parking garage located in Charlotte. The recipients were nominated by the Charlotte Rescue Mission. The Charlotte Rescue Mission is a leader in providing free Christian-based residential recovery programs that help people achieve long-term sobriety, find employment and stable housing, and restore and build healthy relationships.

“Our members like CARSTAR Alpha Omega and the owner Jason Zander, and Maaco of Charlotte with owner Phil Collins are great examples of commitment to community involvement, business leadership and the highest-quality repairs,” said Andrew Neldeberg, director of field marketing for Driven Brands. “We appreciate their tremendous contributions to serving their customers and giving back to their communities.”

“It is an honor to partner with our CARSTAR and Maaco franchise members to recognize two deserving Charlotte women with the gift of reliable transportation,” said Jessica Stewart with the Driven Brands Charitable Foundation.
A 2019 Hyundai Kona SEL, donated by Jason Zander of Alpha Omega Advisement and refurbished by the technicians at CARSTAR Auto Body of Cary, NC was presented to Kathy Williams. Sheis a woman whose life reflects resilience, dedication, and a deep commitment to personal transformation. Kathy’s professional life is marked by decades of service and leadership. She earned her master’s degree with honors and went on to teach school for 30 years. For 25 of those years, she also taught Driver’s Education and coached basketball, investing in the growth and confidence of countless students. In 2016, Kathy endured an unimaginable season of loss- losing her husband, mother, and father in the same year. That period of profound grief led her to struggles, but through her own unwavering perseverance—she reclaimed her life. Today, she is recognized as a model citizen. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will allow her to remain consistent in her recovery, continue her service to others, and regain the independence she once knew.
“This is a miracle and such a blessing to my life to be able to have my own transportation and not have to ask to borrow someone else’s vehicle,” said recipient Kathy Williams. “This is mine and I am going to take such good care of it. It’s just a blessing.”

Her love for her children and her desire to create a stable, healthy future for them remain at the center of everything she does. Adrian is an active and dependable member of her recovery community and sponsor’s other women who are just beginning their own journeys. Her leadership, humility, and willingness to serve have made her a source of strength and encouragement to many. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will remove a significant barrier, allowing her to maintain her employment, stay engaged in her recovery commitments, and continue building the strong, hopeful future she has fought so hard to create.
“This vehicle will help me get my family back together,” said recipient Adrian Moore. “My son is four hours away and this will help me not have to deal with the hassle of traveling by train or bus.
