PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (October 13, 2025) – On Saturday, October 11, two United States service veterans each received life-changing gifts—the donation of beautifully refurbished vehicles to help as they seek to improve their lives. The donations were made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donors GEICO and Interinsurance Exchange of the Auto Club and repair partners Fix Auto USA and Seidner’s Collision Centers.

The presentations took place at the Guitars N’ Cars event at the March Veterans Village at March Air Reserve Base in California. The Guitars N’ Cars event combines great music, delicious food and one-of-a-kind classic cars that brings the Inland Empire community together in celebration of the mission to prevent and end veteran homelessness.
Mark Dralu is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served a long career in the service of his country from 2015 – 2024. Over the course of nearly a decade, he held multiple leadership roles, including Team Leader and Squad Leader, positions that taught him discipline, accountability and how to lead by example. After leaving the military, Dralu found himself without a job or housing and without the support system he had while in the service. The loss of income and structure made it hard to secure stable employment, leaving him homeless. Dralu relies on public transportation, which can be very stressful and unreliable. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will dramatically change his current situation. It will allow Dralu to apply for and accept jobs that are currently out of reach due to a lack of transportation. This opportunity is about more than just mobility, it will provide him with a solid foundation to rebuild his life, regain independence and work toward a stable and hopeful future.
Anthony Orosco is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving from 1998 – 2001. Without a vehicle, he faces daily challenges that hold him back from achieving the stability and progress he has been working so hard to build. Tasks like getting to work or making medical appointments, become monumental obstacles that require coordination, compromise and the painful reality of possibly missing them altogether. Having a vehicle will open the door to consistent employment, allowing Orosco to better provide for his family. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will remove the uncertainty and limitations of his current situation and give him the freedom to focus on what matters most; being the father, partner and man his family needs. This vehicle will be a symbol of the second chance Orosco has been fighting for and allow him to show his family that he can be the man they deserve and to continue building a future rooted in love, faith and redemption.
The recipients were nominated by U.S. Vets. U.S. Vets is the leading nonprofit dedicated to the work of helping veterans and their families transition from homelessness through tailored support to help them gain independence.
