PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (March 5, 2026) – On Wednesday, March 4, a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard received a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle as she actively works toward stability for her and her growing family. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Allstate and repair partner Collision Experts, a member of Certified Collision Group.

The presentation took place at the AkzoNobel North American Performance Group Conference outside the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel. The focus of the performance group is to enhance the performance of the individuals and businesses represented through a mutually beneficial exchange of information, success stories and advice.
“This is such a great partnership with NABC and our vendor partners and a great opportunity to give back to our veterans and our community,” said Dan Carranza, on behalf of AkzoNobel. “We’re proud to present this vehicle to ‘KeKe’ and her family and we thank her for her service.”
The recipient was nominated by Zero8hundred. Zero8Hundred’s mission is to offer compassionate, evidence-based support to service members and their families, helping them navigate the unique challenges of transitioning from active duty to civilian life through a peer-based social work model.
“We’ve been open for 25 years and this is our first gifting with NABC,” said Collision Experts owner, Auday Shamoon. “We are honored to be a part of such a great event to help a veteran in need.”
A 2023 Honda CRV, donated by Allstate and refurbished by the technicians at Collision Experts, was presented to Ke Shoundra White. Sheis an Army Reserve veteran, serving from 2019 to 2024, and her spouse is currently active duty. She is highly motivated and actively working toward stability for herself and her growing family. Ke Shoundra is pursuing employment and continuing her education. A significant barrier she is facing is transportation. Currently, she and her spouse rely on rideshare services to get to work and school, which has created an ongoing financial strain during an already challenging period. Ke Shoundra is also expecting a child, which makes reliable and safe transportation even more critical. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will greatly reduce financial stress, improve consistency with employment and school and support the overall stability and well-being of her and her family. Based on her motivation, follow-through, and commitment to long-term self-sufficiency, this support will have a meaningful and sustainable impact.
“Overwhelming is definitely one way to put it, truly just blessed,” White said. “Feeling amazing right now and to know my family has an opportunity to expand, travel, make it to work, and put a car seat in the back of this car is great. Nobody knows what can happen to our service members, the fact that they’re able to serve, protect me, my child, my family, it’s amazing, it’s a sisterhood, brotherhood you just can’t explain.”
