PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (October 11, 2025) – On Wednesday, October 8, a beautifully refurbished vehicle was donated to a United States Marine Corps veteran from Reading, PA. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor GEICO and repair partner Caliber Collision.

A 2020 Nissan Altima was generously donated by GEICO and refurbished by the technicians Caliber Collision in Nazareth, where the vehicle was presented to Ronald Seal.

“Most of the time the technicians don’t even have a chance to get to know the customer,” said Michael Lepore, Regional Manager, Caliber Collision.  “This becomes extra special because we got to meet Ronald [Seal], so this becomes personal.”

Ronald Seal is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1997 – 2002.  Like many veterans, he faced challenges when transitioning from military service to civilian life.  During his time in the Marine Corps, Seal earned multiple awards and decorations, yet once home he struggled to maintain stable housing and employment.  Seal is now being recognized for his remarkable progress in counseling and his determination to rebuild his life.  This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will be a game changer, opening the door to steady employment, independence and a fresh start.

“I’m still awe struck right now, it’s been an interesting ride,” said recipient Ronald Seal.  “I went to the VA in 2012 for help and I learned what it’s like to live without self-medicating.  I’ve been through a lot of hell, but it’s made me a better person and I can help others now.”

The recipient was nominated by Berks County Veterans Affairs.  Their mission places Berks County veterans first by connecting heroes and families with the benefits and care they have earned.

GEICO, a Level One partner of the National Auto Body Council®, has donated more than a thousand vehicles to people and organizations through NABC Recycled Rides, making it the largest car donor partner of NABC Recycled Rides.

Caliber Collision, also a Level One partner, has donated more than 600 vehicles to military service members, veterans and other individuals in need of reliable transportation over the last 12 years.  All Caliber locations are I-CAR Gold Certified repair facilities.

Additional partners in this presentation include: AmiCars Inc., National Hail & Dent Removal, AutoZone, Keystone Copart, Enterprise, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity.
