PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (December 15, 2025) – On Thursday, December 11, an Orlando area mother of seven received a life-changing gift and an early Christmas present—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to help as she works to care for her large family.  The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor GEICO and repair partner Community Collision Centers.

The presentation took place at the Community Collision Centers location in Leesburg, FL.  The recipient was nominated by Find, Feed & Restore.  Find, Feed & Restore offers multiple housing solutions for homeless families with children including housing first, affordable housing and homelessness avoidance.

“We have a motto that we build relationships one repair at a time, this relationship just started with you Brittany [Best],” said Larry Jaskowiak, owner of the Community Collision Center in Leesburg.  “For the next year, we’ve got two locations in town and if you get your car dirty, Brittany, you stop at any of our locations, and we’ll clean your car for you.”

A 2019 Hyundai Tucson Limited, donated by GEICO and refurbished by the technicians at Community Collision Centers, was presented to Brittany Best.  Sheis a Florida woman who has the tall task of raising seven children.  They range in age from 9 months to 17 years old.  Best exemplifies the challenges faced by working families experiencing housing insecurity.  Despite full-time employment as a corrections officer, Best and her children were struggling and had to live out of their car.  An accident left them without a vehicle and without shelter.  This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will allow Best to continue working as she seeks a permanent home to care for her children.

“We always rejoice when we see moments like this,” said Brian Broadway, Founder, Find Feed & Restore.  “You see hard working families that can’t afford housing and often transportation is something that impacts their ability to obtain employment.  To see Brittany get a step forward is amazing and it’s amazing for the community to see it happen.”

GEICO, a Level One member of the National Auto Body Council®, has donated more than 1,000 vehicles to people and organizations through NABC Recycled Rides®, making it the largest car donor partner of NABC Recycled Rides.

Community Collison Centers, an I-CAR Gold Class network, has a proud history of excellent work and community service.  They have remained loyal in serving their community and, in return, have been recognized by their township and local business organizations.

The Leesburg local TV station, Lakefront TV, did an excellent story about the recipient and this special gift from Community Collision, that you can view here at  https://youtu.be/cAQmg9pC8_4

Additional partners in this presentation include: Lakeland Automall, AutoMaster of Leesburg, Barnett Tire, Total Recon, ADAS SAFE, The Truck Shop, Mystic Ice Cream, Copart, Advanced Remarketing Services, and Cars for Charity

ABOUT THE NATIONAL AUTO BODY COUNCIL®

The National Auto Body Council® is the premier organization of collision industry partners dedicated to strategic networking opportunities that positively change lives in the communities we serve. The collaborative membership of the National Auto Body Council® has gifted more than 3,500 vehicles and provided extrication opportunities for some 6,000 First Responders in communities around the country through NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.™).  That effort equates to a 4:1 ROI in dollar value delivered from NABC® membership dollars.

The NABC Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, a 501c3 organization, is committed to the goal of driving change for veterans, military members, first responders and families in need, while harnessing the power of the collective membership of the collision repair industry to positively impact communities where we live and work. As demand for NABC® programs like NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC F.R.E.E.™ grows, so do the needs for resources to manage these important programs.
