TAMPA, FL  (December 13, 2023) – On December 12, a deserving Tampa area veteran experienced a life-changing event – the presentation of a vehicle to provide him transportation and independence – thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with car donor GEICO and repair partner Crash Champions.

The presentation was held at the Crash Champions in Bradenton, FL. The deserving veteran, Dallas Bragg, received a 2018 Toyota Corolla, donated by GEICO and refurbished by Crash Champions.  Bragg was nominated by the Wounded Warrior Project.

Dallas Bragg served in both Marine Corp and U.S. Army with 13 years of service. He did three tours to Iraq from 2003 to 2008 and was injured. After serving, Dallas spent most of his time helping other Veterans and their families. He volunteered to be a peer leader for the Wounded Warrior Project. He continues to do volunteer work in the community and get resources to Veterans struggling mentally and financially. A reliable car will help him continue to be a mentor for other Veterans and the community in which he lives.

When asked what he thought of his new vehicle, Bragg replied “I love it! I don’t think that I have ever owned anything this new.”

“Every veteran deserves our gratitude and Dallas is exactly the type of veteran that we love to be able to help and provide a NABC Recycled Ride.  He has dedicated himself to helping other veterans in need and the community.  He exemplifies the spirit of giving back, helping other veteran in need, serving as a foster parent for kids in need and providing peer counseling for other military couples,” said Dale Ross, National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program manager.
