PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (November 18, 2025) – On Monday, November 17, a Kentucky charity received the gift of reliable transportation—this beautifully refurbished vehicle will aid in outreach into rural areas and with group travel.  The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor AAA Kentucky and repair partner Caliber Collision.

The presentation of a 2019 KIA Soul, fully refurbished by the team at Caliber Collision Elizabethtown KY, took place at the new Pinnacle Financial Partners office located in Bowling Green, KY.  Pinnacle Financial Partners, which is a level one member of the NABC®, provides a full range of banking, investment, trust, mortgage and insurance products and services designed for businesses and their owners and individuals interested in a comprehensive relationship with their financial institution.

Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky, a non-profit organization based in Bowling Green, KY, is made up of parents, friends, and families who have loved ones born with Down syndrome.  They believe that inclusion and community support are essential in helping enable persons with Down syndrome to achieve their maximum potential and lead fulfilling lives.  Employees and volunteers are essential to carrying out this mission.  A refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will help the organization to travel to more rural counties they serve in their 14-county service area as well as help them transport smaller groups more efficiently and economically.  This vehicle will allow them to do errands, go to the grocery store and support in fundraising in a more official and economical way.

“This is a massive gift, a true blessing for our organization”, said Eric Leach, President of the Board of Directors for Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky. “What this is going to allow us to do is to is get out into the 14 counties we serve more affordably and be able to allow our community to engage with our members, and our members to engage back with the community.”

Auto Club Enterprises, also known as AAA, is proud to partner with the National Auto Body Council®, and other organizations, to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Over the years, they have donated more than 150 vehicles to residents in Southern California, Texas, Kentucky, and Missouri. These donations are made possible through the collaboration of their Direct Repair Program shops, which expertly restore the vehicles for those in need.

Caliber Collision, also a Level One partner of the NABC®, has donated more than 650 vehicles to military service members, veterans and other individuals in need of reliable transportation over the last 12 years.  All Caliber locations are I-CAR Gold Certified repair facilities.

“This is something that we hold dear to our hearts at Caliber,” said Paul James, Regional Vice-President for Caliber. “We like to be involved in the community and this is something that we love to do, refurbish vehicles for people and organizations that need them.”

Additional partners in this presentation include: Wayne’s Towing, Allstar Wheels, Kia Preston Highway Louisville, Billy’s Towing, LKQ, Copart, Advanced Remarketing Services, and Cars for Charity

ABOUT THE NATIONAL AUTO BODY COUNCIL®

The National Auto Body Council® is the premier organization of collision industry partners dedicated to strategic networking opportunities that positively change lives in the communities we serve. The collaborative membership of the National Auto Body Council® has gifted more than 3,500 vehicles and provided extrication opportunities for some 6,000 First Responders in communities around the country through NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.™).  That effort equates to a 4:1 ROI in dollar value delivered from NABC® membership dollars.

The NABC Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, a 501c3 organization, is committed to the goal of driving change for veterans, military members, first responders and families in need, while harnessing the power of the collective membership of the collision repair industry to positively impact communities where we live and work. As demand for NABC® programs like NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC F.R.E.E.™ grows, so do the needs for resources to manage these important programs. Being able to pursue grants, gifts and donations allows NABC to expand these programs to serve those in need and help communities where we live and work.
