PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (April 25, 2025) – On Thursday, April 17, a single mother from the Atlanta area received a life-changing gift—the donation of a fully refurbished vehicle to provide critically needed transportation for her and her son. The donation was made possible by Travelers and Classic Collision through the NABC Recycled Rides® program.

The presentation took place at the Atlanta I-CAR Golf Tournament, held to benefit the Collision Repair Education Foundation, which supports collision repair programs in schools and programs.

NABC, Travelers and Classic Collision presented a fully Refurbished 2020 Jeep Cherokee to U.S. Navy veteran Tara Wolford. Two years ago, a health crisis caused her to fall behind financially, and she and her son became homeless. She is now a part of the Atlanta Veterans Administration HUD VASH voucher program and she and her 14-month-old son finally have a place to call home. Their next important need is transportation, which is why she was nominated for NABC Recycled Rides® by Southern Crescent Veterans Services. Wofford says that her most important role is being a full-time mother to her son.

Travelers is one of the largest insurance companies in the United States.  Travelers is a longtime supporter of the NABC Recycled Rides program, donating vehicles to the program for the last ten years.

Since its founding 32 years ago, Classic Collision has grown to more than 300 locations nationwide. Classic Collision Hillsboro is an I-CAR Gold Certified repair facility.

I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, provides training and other resources for schools and technical colleges for their automotive repair programs.

NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.

Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation included Troncalli Chrysler, Empire Auto Parts, Enterprise, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity and Copart.
