PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (July 10, 2025) – On Wednesday, July 9, a single mother who lives in the Boston area experienced a life-changing event – the presentation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to provide her the ability to save money on her commute and to provide for her two children – thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with car donor Travelers and repair partner CARSTAR Waldron’s A-1 Auto Body.
NABC®, Travelers and CARSTAR Waldron’s worked together to be able to present will present a fully refurbished 2019 Honda Civic to this devoted single mother. Travelers donated the vehicle and the skilled technicians at CARSTAR Waldron’s in Lancaster, Massachusetts, worked many hours to fully refurbish the vehicle.

Leilani Rojas has worked very hard to go to school and earn her certification in massage therapy. She has been promoted to manager of two locations and is pursuing further training in leadership, but commuting to her job has been a challenge with rideshares taking much of her income. Having a vehicle will save her money and provide reliable transportation for both her work and family needs. Rojas is a single mom of two and she is determined to expose her children to programs and activities on her days off, and the NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle will make that possible.
Leilane Rojas was nominated for the NABC Recycled Rides® program by Family Promise Metrowest.
“I can’t believe this car is mine,” said Rojas. “I feel like it is a rental. I am so grateful to everyone that helped make this dream come true for me and my family.”
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.
Travelers, a level one member of the NABC®, has donated hundreds of vehicles to people and organizations in need through the NABC Recycled Rides® program.
CARSTAR Waldron’s A-1 Auto Body is an I-CAR Gold Class certified organization, an award earned through the highest level of training and up-to-date knowledge. It is a regular contributor of refurbished vehicles through NABC Recycled Rides®, and it is committed to fostering a safe and supportive community for everyone. CARSTAR is also a level one member of the NABC®.
“We are fortunate that we are in a position to give that little extra to change someone’s life, and that is what it is all about,” said Bob Waldron, owner of CARSTAR Waldron’s A-1 Auto Body. “I commend our team members, who volunteered their time to refurbish this car.”
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation included Sullivan Tire and Auto Service, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity, Copart and Enterprise.
