The NABC Recycled Rides® Presentation Took Place Recently in Lakeland, Florida.
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (February 10, 2025) – On February 4, a woman who has shown the determination to overcome adversity to pursue her education, received keys to a newly refurbished vehicle through the NABC Recycled Rides® program and its partners GEICO and Lakeland Collision Center.

A 2019 Nissan Sentra S was donated by GEICO and refurbished by technicians at Lakeland Collision Center, a division of Lakeland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
Susan Sawczuk has faced numerous obstacles due to a lack of reliable transportation, but her determination and resilience have been unwavering. This barrier has significantly limited her ability to access better job opportunities, pursue her education, and engage in community service. Despite these challenges, Sawczuk has shown remarkable dedication, consistently attending the Jobs Partnership LifeWorks class week after week with a strong commitment to learning and personal growth.
Receiving this GEICO donated vehicle will be transformative for Sawczuk. With reliable transportation, she can expand her job search to positions beyond her immediate area, increasing her chances of finding a role that aligns with her long-term career aspirations. She is close to completing her associate’s degree, and she plans to pursue a career in radiological health services.
Sawczuk was nominated for the donated vehicle by Jobs Partnership.
“Susan no longer has to consider career and volunteer opportunities based on her transportation barrier,” observed Karl Allen, director of Partnerships at Jobs Partnership. “Now she can consider them based on the purpose God has for the work she does.”
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation included Cars for Charity, Advanced Remarketing Services, Copart and Enterprise.
