PORT CHARLOTTE, FL  (February 15, 2025) – Recently a deserving Pennsylvania woman received keys to a newly refurbished vehicle through the NABC Recycled Rides® program and its partners Faulkner Collision Center and GEICO. The donation recognized Precious Perry’s resilience in the face of adversity.

The vehicle, a 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage, was donated by GEICO and refurbished by the technicians of Faulkner Collision Center in Lancaster.

Precious Perry works two jobs and takes care of her mother who has medical challenges. Perry’s jobs are not on bus routes, so she has been spending a lot of time walking from the nearest bus stop or borrowing her mother’s car, which is not always possible. Having the NABC Recycled Rides® donated vehicle will help her to increase her income, allowing her to be more independent.

Perry is enrolled in a YWCA program to help her on her path to self-sufficiency, and she is dedicated to improving her life.  Perry was nominated for the NABC Recycled Rides® program by the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg.

“Thank you so much to you and your entire team for gifting me this car–it is unbelievable.” Perry said at the presentation. “I didn’t tell my mom or my kids about the car so I am going home to surprise them with it.”

GEICO is the largest donor of vehicles to the NABC Recycled Rides(R) program, having donated more than 1000 vehicles since 2007.

Faulkner Collision Center is the only fully certified BMW, Porsche, Tesla and Volvo certified repair center in Lancaster County, but its technicians can work on all makes and models.  Their training program has earned Faulkner the I-Car Gold certification.  Faulkner was named the 2024 National Shop of the Year by BMW.

April Lausch, Faulkner Collision Center manager, explained, “Faulkner takes seriously our role in the community.  Being a part of this NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle donation is one of the most important and most gratifying things our team can do. It truly does help change lives.”

NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.

Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation included H&F Tire Service, LKQ, Jeff D’Ambrosio Mitsubishi, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity, Copart, and Enterprise.
