The NABC Recycled Rides® Presentation Took Place Recently in Fountain, Colorado.
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (February 23, 2025) – On February 19, a resident of the Colorado Springs area experienced a life-changing event – the presentation of a vehicle to provide her transportation to work and the ability to support her family’s needs – thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with insurance partner GEICO and collision repair partner Crash Champions.

The vehicle, a 2017 Jeep Renegade, was donated by GEICO and beautifully refurbished by the technicians at Crash Champions. The presentation took place at Crash Champions-Southmoor in Fountain.
Lois Bolton was constantly using rideshares to get to work, to get her two children to school and appointments, and to meet life’s needs. Bolton was unable to participate in community events or enroll her children in school activities because of not having reliable transportation. She has been working with several United Way agencies on creating a stable situation for her family. As a single mother without much outside support, she was finding it difficult to make ends meet. The NABC Recycled Rides® donated vehicle will take care of her family’s needs and help Bolton look for a second job to help her reach her goals. Bolton was nominated for the program by the Pikes Peak United Way.
This NABC Recycled Rides® gifting was made possible through the generosity of NABC members GEICO and Crash Champions.
GEICO is the largest donor of vehicles to the NABC Recycled Rides® program, having donated more than 1000 vehicles since 2007.
Crash Champions, which has grown to more than 650 locations in just ten years of operation, has refurbished nearly 250 vehicles that were gifted to charities and people in need, many of whom were in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas.
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation include Widespread Auto Glass, H&H Tire, Perfect Touch Mobile Detailing by Ken Hailey, Automotice Technology Experts (ATE), Discount Tire, LKQ, Larry H. Miller, Advanced Remarketing Services, Enterprise, Cars for Charity and Copart.
