PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (March 19, 2025) – On March 12, two women who take care of family members with special needs received life-changing gifts—fully refurbished vehicles to provide them with transportation to see to the medical and daily living needs of their families—thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycle Rides® program along with insurance partner GEICO and collision repair partner Crash Champions, an I-CAR Gold Certified repair facility.

The presentations took place at the West Palm Beach Crash Champions Congress location, where the technicians worked for weeks to get the vehicles ready for their new owners.
Ana Padilla is responsible for caring for two disabled family members. She is their only caregiver, and she needs to take them to numerous doctor appointments, therapy sessions, and other activities that require transportation. The car she had was totaled, leaving her relying on friends or rideshares for these important trips. With this donated vehicle, a 2018 Toyota RAV4, Padilla will be able once again to meet the family’s daily needs. Padilla was nominated for NABC Recycled Rides® by the ARC of South Florida.
Tashikki Cime, will benefit from the gift of reliable transportation because she resides where she must use public transit to get to work almost 30 miles away. She has no vehicle to take her son to important medical appointments for his special needs. Cime is a very dedicated employee and loving mother who has potential for great success with a little help, such as this reliable vehicle, a 2020 Honda Accord, according to her nominator at the Achievement Centers for Children and Families.
Cime was exuberant at receiving the NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle: “I extend my sincerest gratitude, which far exceeds expectations, and I am deeply thankful for your kindness in blessing my son and me once again. God is indeed good, and I thank you, as well as all those whose efforts contributed to this blessing.”
GEICO is the largest donor of vehicles to the NABC Recycled Rides® program, having donated more than 1000 vehicles since 2007.
Crash Champions, which has grown to more than 650 locations in just ten years of operation, has refurbished nearly 250 vehicles that were donated to charities and people in need, many of which were in South Florida.
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation included Adas Calibration, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity, Enterprise and Copart.
