The NABC Recycled Rides® Presentation Took Place Recently in San Antonio
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (January 17, 2025) – Recently, a decorated U.S. Army veteran and community volunteer from San Antonio experienced a life-changing event – the presentation of a vehicle to provide her independence and the ability to support her family – thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with vehicle donor GEICO and collision repair partner Crash Champions.

Kimberly Davis is a U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq. Since coming home, she has faced significant challenges in securing stable housing and reliable transportation. She has undergone back surgery for injuries sustained both during and after her military service. She recently gave birth to her first child. Despite her personal struggles, Davis remains actively involved in her community. She volunteers with multiple veteran service organizations, dedicating her time to support fellow veterans, the youth, and the broader community.
The NABC Recycled Rides® donated vehicle, a beautifully refurbished 2021 Kia Forte, will reduce her reliance on ride share services and public transportation, allowing her to attend to her and her newborn’s medical appointments more easily. It will enable Davis to enhance her community service efforts, providing consistent and stable support to others and her child. Davis was nominated for the vehicle donation by Grace After Fire.
“Participating in the NABC Recycled Rides® program is an honor and privilege,” said Matt Ebert, CEO and founder of Crash Champions, a Level One sponsor of the NABC®. “For years now, we have worked with the NABC® on this life-changing philanthropic initiative, and we could not be prouder of the results. Afterall, helping ensure that good, hardworking individuals have safe and reliable transportation exemplifies so much of the Crash Champions culture of putting people first. To this end, we look forward to continuing our support of this wonderful program for the years to come.”
GEICO has donated nearly 1,000 vehicles to the NABC Recycked Rides program since 2007.
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation include ATE, Impressive Way Detailing, Cars for Charity, Advanced Remarketing Services, Enterprise and Copart.
