The NABC Recycled Rides® Presentation Took Place Recently in Tucson, AZ
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (March 16, 2025) – Recently a disabled U.S. Navy veteran’s son received a life-changing gift, a beautifully refurbished vehicle he can use to support his family and to get his father to V.A. medical appointments — thanks to the NABC Recycled Rides® program along with vehicle donor GEICO and collision repair partner Chapman Collision, an I-CAR Gold Certified repair facility.
Claudio Estrada is the primary caregiver for his father, a decorated U.S. Navy veteran, now disabled. He also takes care of his disabled grandmother. Estrada is studying to become a registered nurse. Recently, his car’s transmission gave out, and he does not have the income to cover the expensive repairs. Asking friends for rides or walking long distances is exhausting. The gift of the NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle, a 2021 Honda Civic, donated by GEICO and fully refurbished by the technicians of Chapman Collision, is a blessing for the whole Estrada family.
Estrada was nominated for the vehicle donation by the Arizona Coalition for Military Families.
GEICO is the largest donor of vehicles to the NABC Recycled Rides® program, having donated more than 1000 vehicles since 2007.
The Chapman Automotive Group was founded 75 years ago, and its body repair division, Chapman Collision is I-CAR Gold Certified and has attained the highest certifications available in the auto collision industry.
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation included Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity, Copart, and Enterprise.
