PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (March 28, 2025) – On March 26, two Phoenix area women with a need for transportation, a rideshare driver and a mother of three, each received a fully refurbished vehicle, a life-changing gift, thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with car donor insurance partner GEICO and collision repair partner CARSTAR Fairfax Collision Center.

The vehicles were donated by GEICO and refurbished by the technicians of CARSTAR Fairfax Collision Center.
Taylor Turner, a single mother of three, is bravely rebuilding her life after escaping an abusive home situation. She needed reliable transportation to put her on a track to self-sufficiency after a series of traumatic life circumstances. Taylor remains hopeful and determined to create a better future for herself and her children. She is a hard worker who recognizes that reliable transportation, in the form of the donated 2016 Nissan Rogue S, will provide stability for her family and help her break free from the cycle of abuse and a recent case of identity theft.
Bonnie Duck has found stable housing and meaningful employment after years of living in her car and driving for a rideshare company. Her dedication to becoming self-sufficient is evident; however, she continues to face the challenges of daily transportation logistics. Receiving the NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle, a beautifully refurbished 2020 Hyundai Accent SE, is a huge step forward as she navigates her senior years after reaching a low point in her life. The nominating agency predicts that Duck will enjoy an improvement in her self-esteem and improved prospects once her transportation issues are resolved.
Both women were nominated for the NABC Recycled Rides® program by the East Carrington Family Enrichment Center.
CARSTAR is North America’s largest multi-shop operator network of independently owned collision repair facilities. CARSTAR Fairfax Collision Center is an I-CAR Gold Certified repair facility
GEICO is the largest donor of vehicles to the NABC Recycled Rides® program, having donated more than 1000 vehicles since 2007.
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation included Pohanka Hyundai of Fredericksburg, Keystone/LKQ, Global Glass, Wheels on Site, Priority Nissan, All Foreign Auto Parts, Keystone, Sherwin Williams, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity, Copart, and Enterprise.
