NABC® Members Farmers Insurance and Caliber Collision Donate Refurbished Vehicles to Three Bay Area Women in Need through the NABC Recycled Rides® Program

The NABC Recycled Rides® Presentation Took Place August 13 in Fairfield, California

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL  (August 16, 2024) – Three Bay Area families each experienced a life-changing event–the presentation of a vehicle to provide them critically needed transportation—thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with car donor Farmers Insurance and repair partner Caliber Collision.

Jashun McGee, Minette Simmons, and Ester Carillo Sanchez receiving their Recycled Rides vehicles

The cars were beautifully refurbished by the teams at Caliber Collision Concord and Caliber Collision Fairfield.

NABC®, Farmers and Caliber presented fully refurbished vehicles to:

Jashun McGee, a U.S. Army veteran and single mother of four children. The children attend three schools, making transportation difficult.  McGee was nominated to receive her 2017 GMC Terrain by Roads Home Insight Housing.

Minette Simmons, who jugglesa full-time job while caring for two young sons. Their car has been unreliable.  The beautifully refurbished 2015 Toyota Corolla will give the family the help they vitally need.  Simmons was nominated by Seneca Family of Agencies.

Ester Carillo Sanchez, recipient of a 2016 Mazda 3, who will now be able to take her grandchildren to school and will be able to return to school herself to complete her degree.  SparkPoint Contra Costa East nominated Sanchez for the NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle.

NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,300 vehicles valued at some $47 million.
