PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (September 25, 2025) – On Tuesday, September 23, a Missouri veteran received a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to help him as he looks to improve his life and care for his family.  The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Travelers and repair partner Caliber Collision.

The vehicle, a 2017 Nissan Rogue, was generously donated by Travelers and refurbished by the technicians of Caliber Collision.  The presentation took place at the Caliber Collision location in Arnold, MO.

“Today’s partnership with the National Auto Body Council and our other partners we are proud to restore the rhythm of another life in our community,” Terry Kammler, Regional Vice President-Operations, Caliber Collision St. Louis region.  “We are proud to be a part of the NABC Recycled Rides® community service initiative where collision repair companies like Caliber join with insurance partners and non-profit organizations to repair and donate vehicles to service organizations across the communities we serve.”

Montel Cogshell is a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 2016-2019.  He has a stable job but does not have the income to afford a reliable vehicle.  He has had to quit jobs in the past due to not having a reliable vehicle and the bus system not traveling near his job sites.  The Army created his passion for driving and after his service he obtained his Commercial Driver’s License and is currently working with FedEx.  This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will allow Cogshell to get to work reliably, visit his family and give him the opportunity to visit his son who lives out of state.

The recipient was nominated by Missouri Veterans Endeavor.  The Missouri Veterans Endeavor has built a community where homeless veterans and their families can feel safe, valued and hopeful.  Their comprehensive services, including long-term housing for veterans, financial assistance, and clinical case management, empower veterans to rebuild their lives and achieve lasting independence.

“It brings a lot of joy in my heart and my soul that I’m feeling right now to see that people do care,” said Cogshell after receiving his recycled vehicle.

Travelers, a level one member of the NABC®, has donated 85 vehicles to people and organizations in need through the NABC Recycled Rides® program.

Caliber Collision, also a Level One partner, has donated more than 600 vehicles to military service members, veterans and other individuals in need of reliable transportation over the last 12 years.  All Caliber locations are I-CAR Gold Certified repair facilities.

NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation.  Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.

Additional partners in this presentation include: Prostar, Yipes Stripes, Lou Fusz Kia of Moline, Protech Automotive Solutions, Enterprise, Copart, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity
