PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (March 5, 2026) – On Friday, February 27, a U.S. Army veteran in need received a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle as he continues to maintain employment and stability. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Farmers and repair partner Joe Hudson’s Collision Center, who was recently acquired by Boyd Group Services Inc.

The presentation took place at the Joe Hudson’s Collision Center located at 5220 South University Avenue in Little Rock, AR. The recipient was nominated by Scars and Stripes, Inc. Scars and Stripes, Inc. is dedicated to empowering the veteran population by addressing critical challenges such as suicide prevention, homelessness, navigating VA benefits, supporting justice-involved veterans, promoting mental health and addressing other pressing issues.
A 2017 Toyota Camry, donated by Farmers and refurbished by the technicians at Joe Hudson’s Collision Center, was presented to Logan Woodson. Heis a United States Army veteran. Following the death of his wife, he experienced homelessness. Through coordinated efforts with partner agencies, he has secured stable housing. Logan is a lifelong culinarian who takes pride in his work. Due to health complications, he lost his position as a cook with the Salvation Army and was again at imminent risk of homelessness. Complicating his situation, Logan’s current vehicle is now beyond economical repair; the cost to fix it exceeds its value. Reliable transportation is crucial for his ability to maintain employment in the food service industry and to maintain his housing stability. Logan is hardworking, respectful, and consistently demonstrates a positive attitude despite significant hardship. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will materially improve his employment prospects and help ensure long-term stability.
“I’m not one for a lot of words, but I’m truly grateful for people like Farmers Insurance, Scars and Stripes, Joe Hudson’s and the NABC,” said recipient Logan Woodson. “Again I’m truly grateful and this vehicle is going to help me do what I truly enjoy doing and that’s cooking.”
Farmers, a level one member of the NABC®, has donated numerous vehicles to people and organizations in need through NABC Recycled Rides®.
Joe Hudson’s Collision Center, an I-CAR Gold Class repair facility, has been doing the highest quality repairs in the shortest possible time. As part of being acquired by Boyd Group Services Inc., all Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers will be converted to Gerber Collision & Glass in 2026. It will be a new name with the same great service!
Additional partners in this presentation include: Landers Toyota, Complete Wheel Restoration, Generations Auto Glass, Sherwin Williams Paint, Enterprise, Advanced Remarketing Services, Copart and Cars for Charity
