PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (November 17, 2025) – On Thursday, November 13, a Las Vegas man received a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to help as he seeks to continue rebuilding his life and care for his children. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Allstate and repair partner Maaco.
The presentation took place at the Maaco Annual Convention at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The recipient was nominated by HopeLink of Southern Nevada. HopeLink is dedicated to keeping families housed and supported through challenging times.

“This truck will mean everything to us, we will be able to do more things with the family, doctors’ appointments, everything, doing laundry,” said recipient Patrick Brown. “We have a hard time right now and this will really help out a lot.”
A 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, donated by Allstate and refurbished by Maaco Las Vegas, was presented to Patrick Brown. He has come a very long way from where he was in December 2023. At that time, he was headed down a very negative path that impacted his relationship with his children and his own self-respect. He has worked hard to have his children back in his life and remained focused on them and on his recovery. He has been reunited with his son and his two daughters. Mr. Brown has stayed employed and is a committed father who now has permanent custody of all three children. Mr. Brown continues to use public transportation to get to and from his work as a chef. He has proven to be an amazing father, and his children continue to reflect how important it is to have the love of a parent in their lives who is always willing to make them his priority. Mr. Brown’s children are doing so well in school, a testament to his role as a loving father. Mr. Brown has been using public transportation as the family’s sole source of transportation for almost two years. This gift will be life-changing for this family, as it will give them freedom to be a family outside of the home, to go places, such as museums, the movies, hiking and day trips. Mr. Brown has worked extremely hard to get to this point, and this vehicle will allow his children to see first-hand that there are people, organizations and companies that want to help others who are willing to put in the work to help themselves.
