Team Penske NTT IndyCar Series Driver Scott McLaughlin Joined Event That Took Place on July 25 at Brickyard Crossing Golf Course as part of the NASCAR Brickyard 400 Weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (July 25, 2026) – On Saturday, July 25, a United States Navy veteran from Indiana received a gift worthy of victory lane — the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to help as he continues his military service and furthers his education. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Allstate and repair partner Penske Collision, with support from PPG and Enterprise.
The presentation took place at a PPG Golf Outing at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course on the grounds of the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The gifting was held in conjunction with the Brickyard 400 NASCAR Cup Series race, which will be held on the legendary 2.5-mile track on Sunday. Team Penske driver and seven-time NTT Indy Car Series race winner, Scott McLaughlin, was in attendance for this special presentation.
“PPG has a longstanding partnership with the Penske organization, and we are proud to partner with Penske Collision, along with Allstate and Enterprise to present this beautiful vehicle to a deserving U.S. Navy veteran,” said Tom Wolf, chairman of the board for NABC and Director of Business Development USCA for PPG.
The recipient was nominated by the Veterans Support Network Inc. They are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Noblesville, IN dedicated to serving active military personnel, veterans, and their families across Indiana and Ohio. Its core mission focuses on reducing veteran suicide and veteran homelessness.
A 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, donated by Allstate and refurbished by the technicians at Penske Collision of Indianapolis, was presented to Matthew Hedges.
“I’m speechless, I really don’t know what to say, it’s beyond what I could have imagined,” said recipient Matthew Hedges. “I am so grateful and happy and thankful to NABC, PPG, Allstate, Penske Collision and everyone that was involved.”
He is a U.S. Navy Veteran that served from 1996 -1998. After he left the service, Hedges experienced PTSD and depression which led to additional struggles. He was able to overcome these challenges and today has an amazing family and has secured gainful employment. Hedges is married with one teenage child, and he strives every single day to take care of his family. This NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle will help relieve the everyday stress that goes with not having reliable transportation and will help him to continue working and providing for his family.
Those in the community can support this life-changing program in two ways – donate to the program directly or donate their unwanted or non-running vehicle through the Changing and Saving Lives Keys for Change program. They will receive a tax donation for their contribution, and proceeds will help provide reliable transportation for those in need across the country – and in their community.

Penske Collision, an I-CAR Gold Class facility, is a Chevrolet and Honda certified body shop that handles all passenger car makes and models. They specialize in dent removal, bumper repair, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing. And they work directly with insurance claims and coordinate local towing and car rentals.
