PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (October 15, 2025) – On Saturday, October 11, a United States Army veteran received a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to help as he seeks to better himself and his community.  The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Allstate and repair partner Classic Collision.

The presentation took place at the Guitars N’ Cars event at Derby Houston.  The Guitars N’ Cars event combines great music, delicious food and one-of-a-kind classic cars that brings the Houston community together in celebration of the mission to prevent and end veteran homelessness.

Lloyd Haney receiving his refurbished NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle at the Guitars N’ Cars event at Derby Houston

“Everything went great, Lloyd [Haney] was so excited, and everyone enjoyed watching him receive his refurbished vehicle,” said Jovan Bowles, National Director of Corporate & Entertainment Relations, U.S. Vets.  “Thanks again to NABC for the amazing support and gifting Lloyd his vehicle.  And thanks to the team at Allstate and the entire Classic Collision team for all they did.”

Lloyd Haney is a veteran of the United States Army, having served a long career in the service of his country from 2007-2015.  He has consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving both his personal well-being and his community.  Haney currently works part-time in security and actively contributes to the veteran community through his peer support and outreach efforts with Hives for Heroes.  His dedication extends beyond employment – he regularly volunteers his time to serve others, including feeding the homeless and supporting veteran-focused events.  Haney’s current vehicle has over 200,000 miles on it and recently broke down and is no longer operable.  The cost and frequency of repairs have become unsustainable and now affects Haney’s ability to work, volunteer and travel to medical appointments.  This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will greatly reduce the burden of ongoing vehicle repairs and allow him to continue making positive strides in his life and service to others.

“I just want to send a special appreciation and thanks to the National Auto Body Council and my sincere gratitude for you guys doing this,” said Haney after receiving his refurbished vehicle.  “I am beyond speechless and could not be more thankful for your team doing this and may you be able to bless more people in the future.”

The recipient was nominated by U.S. Vets. U.S. Vets is the leading nonprofit dedicated to the work of helping veterans and their families transition from homelessness through tailored support to help them gain independence.

Allstate, a Level One partner of the National Auto Body Council®, has donated several hundred vehicles to people and organizations through the NABC Recycled Rides® program, making it one of the largest car donor partners of NABC Recycled Rides.

Classic Collision was established in 1983 with one single goal: offer quality service with integrity and honesty.  For over 35 years, Classic Collision has continued to do this by employing the best talent and using the highest-quality materials.
