Generous Collaboration Between Allstate, 1st Choice Collision and NABC Recycled Rides® to Change a Texas Mother’s Life Took Place August 4th

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (August 6, 2026) – On Tuesday, August 4, a Houston area mother will receive a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle enabling her as she continues to take care of her family. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, car partners Allstate, and 1st Choice Collision, a member of the OpenRoad Collision network of brands.
The presentation will be made at the 1st Choice Collision Center in Cypress, TX. The recipient was nominated by the Fort Bend Women’s Center. For more than 45 years, Fort Bend Women’s Center has been a safe place for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

A 2019 Kia Sportage LX, donated by Allstate and refurbished by the technicians at 1st Choice Collision in Cypress, TX, was presented to Jennifer Williams. She is a devoted wife and mother of three, the kind of person who meets adversity with a steady heart and open arms. Her life took a dramatic turn in 2017 when Hurricane Harvey struck Houston, bringing with it historic flooding and unimaginable loss. The Williams’ family home, filled with years of memories, was quickly overtaken by water. In a matter of hours, everything they had built was submerged. The family was forced to evacuate with little more than the clothes on their backs. Their vehicle, like their home, was claimed by the floodwaters. What followed was a blur of emergency shelters, temporary housing, and the daunting task of rebuilding from nothing. But Williams never gave up. She worked long hours, side by side with her husband, to secure stable housing for their children. Without a reliable vehicle, Williams and her husband had to rely on rides from friends, public transit, or long walks to get to work, school, and doctor’s appointments. This NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle is more than just convenience, it is a lifeline, as even the strongest families need a hand to keep moving forward. This vehicle will not just drive them from one place to another, it will carry them closer to stability, dignity, and the future they are working so hard to build.
Those in the community can support this life-changing program in two ways – donate to the program directly or donate their unwanted or non-running vehicle through the Changing and Saving Lives Keys for Change program. They will receive a tax donation for their contribution, and proceeds will help provide reliable transportation for those in need across the country – and in their community.
