Presentation as Part of Dynasty Auto Body’s Annual Event, Took Place June 26 at Dynasty Auto Body in Paterson, NJ

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (June 26, 2026) – On Friday, June 26, four deserving New Jersey veterans experienced a life-changing event – the presentation of a vehicle to help them continue on their path to independence, – thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with vehicle donor GEICO and repair partner Dynasty Auto Body.
The presentation was held at Dynasty Auto Body in Paterson, NJ. Dynasty Auto Body was recognized in 2025 as the NABC Changing and Saving Lives award winner for their community giving. This is the 14th year that Dynasty Auto Body has hosted this annual community gathering, attended by local dignitaries, police, fire, and first responders, to present vehicles to veterans in need. It is a spectacular tribute to all our men and women in uniform. At this event, four fully refurbished vehicles were presented to local veterans. (full bios below):
Those who wish to support this life-changing program can do so in two ways – donate to the program directly or donate their unwanted or non-running vehicle through the Changing and Saving Lives Keys for Change program. They will receive a tax donation for their contribution, and proceeds will help provide reliable transportation for those in need across the country – and in their community.
All four vehicles were donated by GEICO and refurbished by the technicians at Dynasty Auto Body in Paterson, NJ,
A 2021 Honda CRV EXL was presented to Lisberth McCracken.
“Thank you NABC, my car for the last two years I’ve been spending way too much money on it,” said recipient Lisberth McCracken. “Having this new vehicle will help me get to my doctor’s appointments. It’s a beautiful vehicle, a beautiful program and I thank all that are responsible for this beautiful gift.”
McCrakenis a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1992 to 1996. She was deployed and assisted with the North Korea Conflicts in 1994 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist E4. After the Army, McCracken worked full-time and had a daughter, who is now 30 years old. In 2014, she was diagnosed with cancer and received a service connection from the military. McCracken has been battling the disease since and has not been able to work. The cancer is now in remission, but she must continue receiving treatments. McCracken feels well and has a tremendously positive outlook on everything. These challenges are further exacerbated because she does not have a reliable working vehicle. This NABC Recycled Ride® will provide McCracken with reliable transportation to get to and from medical appointments, in a safe and germ-free environment.
A 2021 Toyota Corolla LE, was presented to Christian Camacho. Hewas honorably discharged from the United States Army, serving from 2012 to 2015. He was homeless for close to two years but saved his money and was soon able to purchase a home of his own. Camacho has a 100% service connective disability meaning his disability was caused by his service to our country. He is determined to make positive things happen for his life, but to do so he needs a vehicle and realizes it will be hard to budget and pay for one along with his living expenses. Camacho’s priority was to end his homelessness, and he has accomplished that goal. This NABC Recycled Ride® will allow him the independence to continue the next steps, to better his life while navigating his disabilities.
A 2019 Chevrolet Equinox PremierNJ, was presented to Julio Abreu.
“I want to say thank you for this great opportunity,” said recipient Julio Abreu. “It’s a great team, great team effort and it brings great results. I’m so proud to receive this gift and thank everybody involved.”
Abreu is a United States Army veteran and devoted single father of three wonderful children. He served from 2004 to 2008 with four tours in Iraq. Abreu stands out as someone who continues to serve others despite carrying his own significant personal burdens. After completing four deployments in service to our country, he now faces a serious transportation hardship that threatens his ability to continue providing stability and care for his family. As a working single parent, dependable transportation is not simply a convenience for Abreu – it is essential for maintaining employment, caring for his children, and preserving a stable household. Despite his own hardships, Abreu actively volunteers in outreach efforts that provide food, clothing, and support to individuals and families facing hardship. His willingness to serve others while navigating his own challenges reflects the very best qualities of our veteran community. The gift of this NABC Recycled Ride® will ensure that a man who has already sacrificed so much for our nation is able to continue moving forward with dignity and hope.
A 2024 Hyundai Tucson SEwas presented to Andre Brown. Heis a 100% disabled Navy veteran. He joined the service as soon as he was able to and went to the school of aviation. At the school, Brown was going to be trained as a jet mechanic and planned on staying in the Navy for up to 20 years. However, his job was changed to Corpsman/Medic. During his enlistment Brown worked in the emergency room and was exposed to countless traumatic incidents that had a profound effect on him. After an injury, he was forced to leave the Navy under an honorable discharge. Unfortunately, Brown struggled with personal challenges and homelessness as so many of his fellow veterans have also endured. As he continues on his path to success and independence, this NABC Recycled Ride® will further help him achieve his goals as well as attend his medical appointments and visit his family.

GEICO, a Level One partner of the National Auto Body Council®, has donated more than 1,000 vehicles to people and organizations through NABC Recycled Rides®, making it the largest car donor partner of NABC Recycled Rides®.
Dynasty Auto Body, an I-CAR Gold Certified repair facility, has a culture of giving back to the community, and especially helping our veterans. This will represent the 25th vehicle that they have refurbished and gifted through the NABC Recycled Rides® program.
