PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (April 9, 2026) – Recently, a Cleveland area man in need received a beautifully refurbished vehicle as he continues on the path to success and self-reliance. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor GEICO and repair partner Chardon Square Collision, a member of CollisionRight network.

The presentation took place at Chardon Square Collision in Chardon, OH. The recipient was nominated by the Urban League of Greater Cleveland. The Urban League of Greater Cleveland is a community-based organization focused on eliminating the racial, economic and societal barriers.

“It was truly an incredible experience, hearing the recipient speak to the Chardon team was both powerful and inspiring,” said Jody Barto, Regional Manager, CollisionRight. “His words made the impact of our efforts feel real, and it was deeply moving to see just how much of a difference we’ve made in his life. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.”
A 2019 Hyundai Tucson SE, donated by GEICO and refurbished by the technicians at Chardon Square Collision, was presented to Clarence Harvey. Herelocated from Las Vegas to Cleveland with little more than the clothing on his back and a small amount of money. At 24 years old, Clarence has overcome significant challenges, including being homeless as a teen. He initially lived in an Airbnb before moving into a rented attic room. He does not own a vehicle and needed reliable transportation. Clarence plans to begin searching for an apartment within the next year. With workforce support, he secured employment at a local mortgage company and has since been promoted to Loan Servicing Administrator. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will provide Clarence with the stability and independence he needs to maintain and grow in his career, pursue additional opportunities and fully rebuild his life. Reliable transportation is the next step in helping him move toward long-term self-sufficiency and success.
GEICO, a Level One partner of the National Auto Body Council®, has donated more than 1,000 vehicles to people and organizations through NABC Recycled Rides®, making it the largest car donor partner of NABC Recycled Rides®.
