PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (October 24, 2025) – Recently, a United States Army veteran from Dallas received a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to help as she continues serving her fellow veterans.  The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Allstate and repair partner SolutionWorks.

The presentation took place at the new Solution Works location in Carrollton, TX.  The recipient was nominated by Endeavors Inc.  Founded in 1969, Endeavors Inc. is a faith-based service organization founded by churches that reflects their core conviction that God calls for everyone to love and serve all people.

“Thank you to NABC, Allstate, Endeavors and the Chamber of Commerce for joining SolutionWorks in this wonderful event,” said Megan Reese, Director, Business Operations for SolutionWorks.  “We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to change the life of a deserving veteran and look forward to more in the future.”

Sandra Davis is a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1979 – 1982.  She went into the military following high school because she wanted to serve her country, improve her life and find a career.  Davis has two sons that she is very proud of, and they are doing well.  She has been in the Supportive Service for Veterans Families program since January 2025.  Unfortunately, Davis had a reduction of hours and fell behind in paying her rent.  She has persevered getting an increase in her salary and now works at night as a security guard–but must take the bus to work.  She has been attempting to save enough to purchase a vehicle but does not have the finances when combined with having to pay rent and additional living expenses.  This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will greatly improve her life by not having to follow the bus schedule or worry for her safety since she works at night.

Allstate, a Level One partner of the National Auto Body Council®, has donated several hundred vehicles to people and organizations through the NABC Recycled Rides® program, making it one of the largest car donor partners of NABC Recycled Rides.

SolutionWorks is a nationwide leader in automotive catastrophic hail repair, claims management, reconditioning and OEM repair services.  They deliver end-to-end vehicle repair solutions for a wide range of clients, from individual car owners to major corporate fleets and automotive manufacturers. They have donated their PDR services for many other NABC Recycled Rides in the past. This is the first that they have done completely on their own.

Additional partners in this presentation include: Driver’s Edge, Copart, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity

NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation.  Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL AUTO BODY COUNCIL®

The National Auto Body Council® is the premier organization of collision industry partners dedicated to strategic networking opportunities that positively change lives in the communities we serve. The collaborative membership of the National Auto Body Council® has gifted more than 3,500 vehicles and provided extrication opportunities for some 6,000 First Responders in communities around the country through NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.™).  That effort equates to a 4:1 ROI in dollar value delivered from NABC® membership dollars.

The NABC Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, a 501c3 organization, is committed to the goal of driving change for veterans, military members, first responders and families in need, while harnessing the power of the collective membership of the collision repair industry to positively impact communities where we live and work. As demand for NABC® programs like NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC F.R.E.E.™ grows, so do the needs for resources to manage these important programs. Being able to pursue grants, gifts and donations allows NABC to expand these programs to serve those in need and help communities where we live and work.
