PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (September 10, 2026) – On Wednesday, September 2, a Dallas area veteran received a life changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to help maintain her employment, transport her children safely, attend medical appointments and continue building long-term stability for her family.  The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Farmers Insurance®, and repair partner Texas Collision Centers.

The presentation was made at the Texas Collision Center located in Irving, TX.  The recipient was nominated by the American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program (NVOP).  The NVOP is a nonprofit organization founded in 1972 that provides housing, employment, and mental health services to military veterans and their families.

A 2020 Ford Escape, donated by Farmers® and refurbished by the technicians at Texas Collision Center of Irving, was presented to Pamela Bradley.

“Texas Collision Centers is so very grateful to have been chosen as the repair partner to refurbish this vehicle for the benefit of such a worthy veteran recipient in Ms. Bradley,” said Shyllo Michaelis, Chief Strategy Officer for Texas Collision Centers.  “Giving back to the communities we serve is engrained in our culture and an important part of our identify as an organization.”

Bradley proudly served in the United States Air Force from July 2001 through December 2002 and continues to demonstrate the same resilience, dedication, and perseverance in her daily life.  She is a single mother of four children who has had to overcome significant challenges.  Despite experiencing homelessness, Bradley remained focused on providing stability for her family and worked tirelessly to secure permanent housing for her children.  Through determination and hard work, she never gave up on creating a better future for her family.  Bradley is employed as a nurse and is committed to serving others while supporting her children.  However, the lack of reliable transportation has created a significant financial burden.  She currently spends much of her money on transportation services to get to and from work, take her children to school, attend medical appointments and manage everyday family responsibilities.  Receiving the gift of reliable transportation will be life-changing for Bradley and her family.  It will significantly reduce her monthly transportation expenses, allowing her to redirect those funds toward housing, food, utilities, childcare, and other essential household needs. This NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle will also ensure she can consistently get to work on time, maintain her employment, transport her children safely, attend medical appointments and continue building long-term stability for her family.

“I can’t believe this is happening and I’m really grateful to everyone who participated,” said recipient Pamela Bradley.  “I always knew I wanted to serve others and be there for people, but I’m not used to being on the other end of the generosity.”

Those in the community can support this life-changing program in two ways – donate to the program directly or donate their unwanted or non-running vehicle through the Changing and Saving Lives Keys for Change program. They will receive a tax donation for their contribution, and proceeds will help provide reliable transportation for those in need across the country – and in their community.

Additional partners in this presentation include: Bob Tomes Ford McKinney, Complete Collision Solutions, PDR Linx, Enterprise, Copart, Advanced Remarketing Services and Cars for Charity.
