PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (December 18, 2025) – On Wednesday, December 17, a single mother in need received an early Christmas gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle as she works and takes care of her two daughters. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Allstate and repair partner Gerber Collision & Glass.

The presentation took place at the Gerber Collision & Glass location in Columbia, MO. The recipient was nominated by Job Point. Since 1965, Job Point has been Missouri’s premier employment center and community development corporation. They have been linking people and jobs by providing career planning and job placement assistance.
“Especially right around Christmas time it was cool to see the recipient’s reaction and it just feels good,” said Patrick Howard, one of the technicians at Gerber Glass & Collision that refurbished the vehicle. “There was a lot of work and to see it come together really makes a difference, especially around this time of year.”
A 2021 Nissan Ultima, donated by Allstate and refurbished by the technicians at Gerber Collision & Glass, was presented to Cirrie Sharp. Sheis a single mother of two young daughters. She previously had her own vehicle, but was involved in an automobile accident, which totaled her vehicle. Sharp works full-time and was attending the Certified Nursing Assistant program to continue to develop her skills in the healthcare field. However, not having a vehicle has set her back as she has had to leave the work program temporarily due to not having transportation. It takes a lot more time to get to work, to get her children to their school/daycare provider and to get to Job Point on time for her classes. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will allow her to maintain employment and continue with her educational goals.
“I’ve been gifted, but never a vehicle and I’m grateful for that,” said recipient Cirrie Sharp. “I was doing nursing here in Columbia, and I couldn’t focus on class. So, I just pulled away. I couldn’t focus, I lost my car. I had to figure out how to get back and forth to work and get my kids around. Now I will be at my classes with bells ringing.”
Allstate, a Level One partner of the National Auto Body Council®, has donated several hundred vehicles to people and organizations through the NABC Recycled Rides® program, making it one of the largest car donor partners of NABC Recycled Rides.
