The presentation took place at the Maaco Auto Repair & Collision located in Mooresville, NC.  The recipient was nominated by the Charlotte Rescue Mission.  The Charlotte Rescue Mission is a leader in providing free Christian-based residential recovery programs that help people achieve long-term sobriety, find employment and stable housing, and restore and build healthy relationships.

A 2021 Nissan Rogue SV, donated by Allstate and refurbished by the technicians at Maaco Auto Repair & Collision, was presented to Adrian Moore.  She has demonstrated remarkable courage, perseverance, and transformation.  Moore was in a place of deep hurt and uncertainty yet made a wholehearted commitment to her recovery.  Throughout her journey, Moore has demonstrated extraordinary consistency and personal growth.  She has maintained steady employment while working tirelessly to rebuild her family.  Her leadership, humility, and willingness to serve have made her a source of strength and encouragement to many.  This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will remove a significant barrier, allowing Moore to maintain her employment, stay engaged in her recovery commitments, and continue building the strong, hopeful future she has fought so hard to create.

“This will help me get back and forth to work and help me see my son, who I am still fighting to gain custody of,” said recipient Adrian Moore.  “You just have to have faith, take one day at a time, and the longer the wait the bigger the blessing.  And that’s what this is.”
