PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (June 1, 2026) – On Saturday, May 30, a North Dakota airman was honored by his community with the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle as he looks to continue his education and visit his family more.  The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor Nodak Insurance and repair partner ABRA Auto Body of Minot, a member of the Buller Automotive Group.

Airman Noah Turner receiving his 2015 Chevrolet Impala, donated by Nodak Insurance and refurbished by the technicians at ABRA Autobody of Minot

The presentation took place at the Cruisin’ for a Cause car show in Minot, ND.  “Cruisin’ for a Cause” is an annual community car show in Minot, ND, hosted by ABRA Auto Body to benefit Easter Seals Goodwill of North Dakota.  The family-friendly event features classic vehicles, prize drawings and food, with all proceeds directly funding disability, vocational, and employment programs in the region.  The recipient was nominated by the Minot Air Force Base, where the airman is currently serving.

A 2015 Chevrolet Impala, donated by Nodak Insurance and refurbished by the technicians at ABRA Autobody of Minot, was presented to Airman Noah Turner.  Hehas served his country for almost two years.  He is a good young man with excellent potential, bolstered by the life lessons that he has learned in his time in the military.  As with any soldier, his time away from home has been hard.  Turner lost his grandfather while serving, someone to whom he was very close.  Being able to persevere through times like that, being away from home at such a young age, is testament to his life and how he learns to make the best of it.  His time in the Air Force has been an education, and he has become  a good team member.  This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program will enable him to extend his education, as he plans to continue improving his life, explore continued education, and visit his home and family that he misses so very much.

North Dakota insurance by Nodak Insurance Company offers insurance for auto, crop, farm, home, life, business and financial investments.

NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 3,750 vehicles valued at some $67 million.

About the National Auto Body Council®:

The National Auto Body Council® is the premier organization of collision industry partners dedicated to strategic networking opportunities that positively change lives in the communities we serve. The collaborative membership of the National Auto Body Council® has gifted more than 3,750 vehicles valued at more than $67 million and provided extrication opportunities for some 7,000 First Responders in communities around the country through NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.™).

The NABC Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, a 501c3 organization, is committed to the goal of driving change for veterans, military members, first responders and families in need, while harnessing the power of the collective membership of the collision repair industry to positively impact communities where we live and work. As demand for NABC® programs like NABC Recycled Rides® and NABC F.R.E.E.™ grows, so do the needs for resources to manage these important programs. Being able to pursue grants, gifts and donations allows NABC to expand these programs to serve those in need and help communities where we live and work.

The Changing and Saving Lives Foundation Keys for Change program also helps drive funding for key programs. The easy, efficient donation process allows vehicle owners to turn their unwanted vehicles into life-changing support. All vehicle donations fund critical programs that provide support and assistance for families in need, military members, veterans and first responders.
