NABC Changing and Saving Lives Foundation® Marketing & Communications Internship

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and motivated college intern to support our marketing and communications efforts for the Changing and Saving Lives Foundation®. This remote internship offers hands-on experience in non-profit branding, social media strategy, content creation, community engagement and grant development. The intern will work directly with the Chairman of the Board for the Changing and Saving Lives Foundation® to support the Foundation’s outreach and visibility, as well as the NABC member/instructor at the school for ongoing guidance and support.

Reports To: NABC Representative/Instructor at School and Chairman of the Board for CASLF
Duration: 2026 Winter/Spring Semester 2026 (with potential to extend)
Hours: 10–15 hours/week (flexible)
Compensation: $15 per hour + Academic Credit (if eligible)

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Chairman of the Board and NABC Executive Director to develop and schedule social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), with approval provided by Executive Director and posting handled by NABC content team
  • Draft newsletters, blog posts and press releases
  • Support event promotion and outreach campaigns
  • Provided updated content for the organization’s website to the NABC content team for approval and implementation on the website
  • Conduct research on marketing trends and nonprofit communications
  • Assist in storytelling and donor engagement strategies
  • Track media coverage from key events, compile media reports for major partners and provide clips of positive coverage for posting on social media, newsletters and outreach campaigns
  • Research local, state and federal grants for which the Changing and Saving Lives Foundation® meets the criteria, provide grant guidelines and criteria for review by Chairman of the Board and NABC Executive Director, craft grant applications using pre-approved content, submit grants following team approval and track grant application status and reporting
  • Researching charitable organizations for the NABC Recycled Rides® program, following up with charities to nominate candidates for vehicles and working with NABC Recycled Rides® team to track charities and nominations on the NABC Recycled Rides® tracker

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college program studying Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Photography and videography skills a plus, including shooting, editing and production
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail
  • Passion for non-profit work and community impact
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus

CASLF is committed to driving change for veterans, military members, first responders, and families in need, while harnessing the power of the collision repair industry to positively impact communities where we live and work.

  • Promote a positive impression of and common interest in the automotive repair industry
  • Improve the quality of life for veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and families in need through support programs and donations
  • Give back with our NABC member partners to enhance communities across the country

Internship Application
